IELTS Listening Practice Tests 2.0

The IELTS Listening Practice Tests app covers the complete Listening Section with four types of subsections, providing model practice test papers with detailed solutions.

Listening Practice Test Sections

• The Listening test is 30 minutes long (plus 10 minutes transfer time) and comprises four separate recordings. The Listening test format remains consistent for both the Academic and General Training tests.
• There are four sections:

1. Section 1: A conversation between two people in an everyday context (e.g., a discussion in an accommodation agency).
2. Section 2: A monologue in an everyday social context (e.g., a speech about local families).
3. Section 3: A discussion among up to four people in an educational or training context (e.g., a university tutor and student talking about an assignment).
4. Section 4: A monologue on an academic subject (e.g., a university lecture).

Listening Practice Test Introduction:

• The IELTS Listening test will take approximately 30 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes provided for transferring your answers to the answer sheet.
• The practice Listening test consists of four parts displayed on separate web pages. Ensure you progress swiftly between pages for a realistic practice experience.
• Download the question paper and blank answer sheet before starting, and record your answers on the question paper while listening. Please use a pencil.
• Pay close attention to the instructions for each test section. Attempt all questions.
• There are a total of 40 questions, with each question worth one mark.
• You will have time to review the questions for each part and review your answers as well.

We accommodate special arrangements for candidates with disabilities. If you need a customized test version, such as in Braille, contact your test center three months in advance to discuss your needs.

Instructions to Candidates for IELTS:

In the actual test, you will receive the following instructions:

1. Do not open this question paper until instructed to do so.
2. Write your name and candidate number at the top of the page.
3. Listen attentively to the instructions provided for each part of the paper.
4. Answer all questions.
5. While listening, mark your answers on the question paper.
6. You will have ten minutes at the end of the test to transfer your answers to a separate answer sheet using a pencil.

Upon completion of the test, you will be required to return the question paper.
